Glacier Skiing
The Kitzsteinhorn offers year round Glacier skiing within 30 mins of Gretl at Zell am See/Kaprun. The Glacier offers up to 41Kms of skiing in Austrias oldest glacier resort visit the Kitzsteinhorn/Kaprun Glacier website for more info.
Other Winter Sports & Activities
Saalbach Hinterglemm offers a number of alternative snow activities if skiing or snowboarding isnt your bag. Try your hand at Ice Skating, Tobogganing or Austrian Curling, or maybe you want to let machines do the work and take out a snow mobile for a blast, go Piste Basher driving, quad biking or ice karting. If all of that is just a bit too much, why not take a romantic sleigh ride to relax or take a scenic flight over the valley and enjoy a birds eye view of the stunning Austrian Alps!
Eating out
There are some excellent bars and restaurants in the Viehhofen! We recommend you stop at Hecherhütte, the most lively watering hole on the mountain, and located on the long run back to Viehhofen, it couldnt be more perfectly positioned for that last drink (or 5) on the run home!
